A MAN who was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis had his case struck out after he made a charitable donation.

Trevor Keyes (45) of Cedarfield, Donore Road pleaded guilty at Drogheda District Court to being in unlawful possession of the drug at Marley’s Lane in Drogheda.

He has no previous conviction­s.

Judge Alan Mitchell stuck the case out after the defendant handed over €300 as a charitable donation.
