Serious issues with public order in town

GARDAI are continuing to probe how best to tackle the serious issues of assualts and public order in the town.

The latest year on year crime figures saw an increase in assaults causing harm and public order incidents. The figures are in line with increases nationwide.

‘We have to see how we can reduce these incidents,’ Supt Andrew Watters stated. ‘We will look at patrol patterns and work with the vintners.’
