Gilly Cullen finalist in Zurich Portrait Prize

GIFTED local artist Gilly Cullen has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Zurich Portrait Prize.

‘I am completely humbled and overwhelmed!’ was her immediate reaction to the honour.

Her striking entry is Macdara (“Healing”).

‘ The idea that one of my drawings will be exhibited in the National Gallery of Ireland is a dream come true, and because the subject matter is close to my heart, makes it all the more special,’ she explained.
