THE world premiere screening of a new documentary ‘ Turtles & Hares: Team Carrie Marathon Runners’ takes place in The Grove House, Dunleer at 7.30pm this Tuesday 23rd October.

The film follows runners from Team Carrie in Dunleer, as they train across 6 months from May to October for the Dublin Marathon. In a group where tea, biscuits & a good old chat is as important a feature of the training plan as the miles run, we meet all the characters that make Team Carrie who they are - David the Deputy, Aileen the Sheriff, Ian Pat the Darklord, Alison the Apprentice & Coach Ray, amongst many others.

With over 800 finishers at the Dublin Marathon since 2010 Dunleer really is the Marathon Capital of Ireland.

They have raised approximately €380,000 for various charities including the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre over the last 8 years.
