EAST MEATH Fine Gael
Councillor, Sharon Tolan, had welcomed the news that
MeMeath County Council will cocommence the replacement of fencing on the Eastham
RRoad.
The original light wooden enwooden fencing was erected by ththe developers of Eastham

‘I have received many representations rerepresentations over the last nunumber of years, as the fencing has deteriorated and made the ususe of the public footpath unsafe. This footpath runs along a dedeep stream on the Eastham Road, and is very popular with wawalkers and cyclists. Parents of young children have been paparticularly concerned, as the drop on the other side of the fenfence is quite steep and, during the winter months, this stream caS can be quite deep.” said Tolan.
The Oliver Plunketts GFC are organising a SalfTalk suicide awawareness training on Saturday morning next at their Clubhouse. hoClubhouse. The course will be given by experts in this field and commences at 10am. It is open to everyone but must register their intention to attend by next Wednesday. There is no charge.
Ideal for team mentors and community activists to get more acquainted with the issues and to be more at ease with the situation.
