-

ESTABLISHED in January 2018, M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet is recognised locally as a credible training partner and business resource serving the North East region along the M1 corridor.

Strides taken over the past year have resulted in it being allocated funding by Skillnet Ireland to deliver an even more comprehensive training and upskilling programme in 2019.

In less than one year of operation, the Network has delivered 20 training programmes to 200 executives in 100 member companies.

Due to the incredible success of the M1-Drogheda Chamber Skillnet, Skillnet Ireland has supported the Network by offering funding for 2019. According to Linda Ennis, Manager of the M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet, “we are delighted that Skillnet Ireland have seen the benefit to businesses in our region through the training that has been offered. This funding means that businesses in the North East Region can continue to avail of training and upskilling supports including receiving up to 20% discount off training.

‘We are looking forward to working with even more companies in 2019 to help them and their teams develop for the betterment of their businesses, their people and the region.’

Welcoming the funding approval, Business Manager of The Mill Enterprise Hub and member of the Steering group Breanndan Casey said: “We are delighted that our application to continue as a training network and to enhance our offerings to members has been approved by Skillnet Ireland, and we look forward to engaging with companies in the North East to bring this financial and training support to the area”. M1Drogheda Chamber Skillnet is currently planning courses for 2019 and are welcoming feedback from local businesses regarding the type of training they require to help their businesses and teams grow.’

The M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet is co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and member companies. Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills.
