THE girls minor team beat Roche in the cham­pi­onship and this Sun­day are away to Sta­ban­non at 11.00am.

Nom­i­na­tions and Mo­tions meet­ing for 2019 , takes place this Thursday, Novem­ber 8, at 8.00 p.m. and the An­nual Gen­eral Meet­ing will be held on Fri­day, Novem­ber 23, at 8.00pm both in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre.

In the U21 com­pe­ti­tion Pre­lim­i­nary Round on Fri­day last Kilk­er­ley Em­mets/Naomh Malachi lost to St Pa­tricks 3-13 to 0-9.

Shane Len­non and Mark Clif­ford men­tors with the county U16 team got an­other win in Fr Man­ning Cup beat­ing Wex­ford 3-14 to 1-11 with both Pa­trick Murtagh and Aaron Craw­ford on the score­sheet.


OUR Se­nior hurlers bowed out of the Le­in­ster club cham­pi­onship af­ter los­ing to a very im­pres­sive Dun­na­m­ag­gin side from Kilkenny. We got off to the worst pos­si­ble start con­ced­ing an early goal. The ac­cu­racy of our op­po­si­tion was ex­cel­lent fir­ing over 15 points by half time. In the sec­ond half the lads got up to the tempo of the game scor­ing some fine points. How­ever if was too lit­tle too late as we lost out on a fi­nal scor­eine of 2-21 to 0-7. The club wish Liam Mol­loy a speedy re­cov­ery from a leg in­jury re­ceived in the course of the game.

This week­end we play Naomh Moninne in the fi­nal of the Ju­nior league. Hope­fully the team can fin­ish the sea­son with a win to go along with the dou­ble of Se­nior cham­pi­onship and league.

Fi­nally con­grat­u­la­tions to our county man Stephen Ket­tle on re­ceiv­ing Louths only Nicky Rachard All Star last Fri­day evening.


THE club will hold a com­mit­tee meet­ing on Wed­nes­day 14th Novem­ber at 7pm in the pheas­ant func­tion room all del­e­gates and play­ers are re­quested to at­tend.

The lucky win­ner of our €50 club lotto bonus ball draw last week was Nìall Far­relly well done.

Con­grats and very well done to Libby Boy­lan who man­aged to de­feat all chal­lengers to win our ju­ve­nile Top Ace score com­pe­ti­tion with a fine top score of 12 aces.

Club mem­ber­ship for the up­com­ing hand­ball sea­son is now due adult fees €40, ju­ve­nile fees €10. Mem­ber­ship forms are avail­able at Coke hall re­cep­tion and also from our club sec­re­tary.

The 60x30 soft­ball sea­son has now con­cluded and our at­ten­tion will now fo­cus on the Le­in­ster 40x20 cham­pi­onships which will be­gin in De­cem­ber.

Club play­ers wish­ing to en­ter the Le­in­ster cham­pi­onships should give their names and their grades to our club sec­re­tary asap please.

Play­ers should please note that our 40x20 train­ing at Gor­manston col­lege sports com­plex con­tin­ues ev­ery Wed­nes­day night un­til fur­ther no­tice.

Our ju­ve­nile u10s ‘Fun­da­men­tal Hand­ball’ skills tour­na­ment fi­nal wìll take place on Fri­day 16th Novem­ber all par­ents and sup­port­ers are re­quested to at­tend. The awards pre­sen­ta­tions will take place di­rectly af­ter the event.

Couch to 5K starts Mon­day 5th Novem­ber and ev­ery Mon­day and Wed­nes­day evenings at 8pm. A great way for ev­ery­one to get fit and in shape for Christ­mas.
