Rathkenny’s forwards are four-midable

KEITH CURTIS and Jeaic Timmons contributed 4-6 of Rathkenny’s tally in this U-21B quarter-final at Castletown on Saturday evening.
Drumconrath/Meath Hill had registered three points before Curtis opened Rathkenny’s account from play on 12 minutes. Curtis added three more points before the end of the half and then found the net on the stroke of half-time from a Sean Gavagan pass.
Earlier Timmons had opened the winners’ goal account and at the break Rathkenny led 2-5 to 0-5. A second Timmons goal a minute after the restart ended Drumconrath/Meath Hill hopes and Thomas McGuinness added a point before the losers opened their second-half account.
Curtis took his tally to 2-5 with his side’s fourth goal four minutes from the finish.
