Grey­hound lead chase as Car­ranstown set the pace

GREY­HOUND’S nar­row vic­tory over Mariner on Fri­day night last means they’re hot on the heels of Car­ranstown at the top of the Fos­ters Duleek & Dis­trict League Premier Di­vi­sion.

In Di­vi­sion 1 there’s now a four-way tie at the top of the ta­ble af­ter joint lead­ers Thatch C and Gren­nans drew with each other, while Sally and Lynchs are the pace-set­ters in Di­vi­sion 2 and Mariner B lead the way in Di­vi­sion 3.

NUM­BERS drawn in last week’s Duleek AFC/SBG FC lotto were 13, 17, 21, 26 and the six €20 prizes went to C Mor­ris, Cizzy, B Bax­ter, D Giles, S McCon­non and J Fitz­patrick.

The draw takes place ev­ery Thursday at 8.30pm in the Duleek AFC club­house, tick­ets are avail­able from com­mit­tee mem­bers and the jack­pot this week re­mains at €8,000.

Var­i­ous time slots are cur­rently avail­able on the all-weather pitch, with kids’ par­ties also catered for, and there is a cen­trally-heated meet­ing room avail­able to rent with a ca­pac­ity of 70 peo­ple and free car park­ing etc.

Rings night in Mul­doons LAST Fri­day night’s re­sults in the Meath Rings League Cup com­pe­ti­tion were as fol­lows:

This com­ing Satur­day and Sun­day from 2pm the Le­in­ster Rings Tour­na­ment will be hosted by Mul­doons, Drum­con­rath. There will be Teams and Sin­gles com­pe­ti­tion, plus sep­a­rate events for Un­der-23 and Over-65 play­ers.
