Food they must find, will someone be kind to keep hunger at bay

The days are long, life has no song. At Christmas there are no treats

The nights are cold and there is no gold on the tiger’s city streets

Their home is an alley Where they are wont do dally To sleep their troubles away

As their hills get steeper They’d wish the grim reaper would come and call it a day

YOUNG EAMON

The local “scribe” whomsoever that may be, had young Eamon Faulkner’s age as being ninety years. That is not so. Eamon is still “only” eighty-nine. A young spring chicken would not get a look in compared to Eamon. He will be ninety years young in December, and not in October gone by as published in the Drogheda Indo on October 9th. Sorry Eamon.
