New anti-bullying scheme

TO celebrate Universal Children’s Day, The Genesis Programme will launch a new internatio­nal evidence-based Anti-Bullying Programme called KiVa.

The Genesis Programme has secured a licence to deliver the programme in Ireland and are the first to do so with implementa­tion well underway in eight schools.

The event will have contributi­ons from the National Anti-Bullying Centre at DCU and the developers of the programme from the University of Turku in Finland.

The event is on Tuesday November 20 in the Crowne Plaza, Dundalk.

The initial eight schools delivering the programme include Marymount NS (Drogheda), St. John’s JNS (Drogheda), Redeemer BNS (Dundalk/Louth), St. Joseph’s NS (Dundalk/Louth) and St. Daigh’s NS (Inishkeen/Monaghan).
