Greyhound are the new pace-setters in top flight

GREYHOUND are the new pace-setters in the top flight of the Fosters Duleek & District League after third-placed Mariner ended Carranstown’s 100% start to the season last Friday evening.

There are new leaders in Division 1 also, with Grennans enjoying a one-point advantage after their three nearest challengers were all held to a draw, while Carranstown B moved off the bottom thanks to their first win.

Sally B remain top of Division 2 despite not being in action as second-placed Lynchs lost to Alverno and there’s now five teams on five points leading the chase behind the Slane outfit.

Third Division pace-setters Mariner B had to fight all the way to keep hold of their 100% win record, eventually edging out Coast Tavern, with Railway Bar and Thatch D in hot pursuit.
