Mayor to launch findings of Disability Group survey
Mayor of Drogheda Frank Godrey will launch the findings of a recent survey on the needs of persons with disabilities in Louth in the Mill Enterprise Centre on Thursday November 29th from 8pm – 9.30pm. “An agenda for action” is the brainchild of Drogheda Disability Alliance Group (DDAG), a group of parents/ carers and people with disabilities who came together in 2017 to advocate for additional social, recreational and educational services for people over 16 years with disabilities.
In 2018, the Louth LEADER Partnership agreed to support DDAG conduct an initial public consultation through surveying people with disabilities, their parents/carers and key stakeholders. The findings of the survey will be shared at the public meeting and it will provide an opportunity for further dialogue with concerned parties. DDAG are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who would consider putting themselves forward to form a working group to progress the findings of the survey.
