DUNDALK GAELS

THE best of luck to our new senior team manager, Paul Morgan, whose appointmen­t was announced at last week’s committee meeting. A committee was set up to find a successor to Malachy O’Rourke, who’s three-year term came to an end in September, and in naming Paul the the committee made a very popular choice.

Paul worked alongside Lenny Harbinson during his two-year term, and in more recent times has been involved with the junmiors. His back-up team has yet to be finalised.

Malachy O’Rourke was thanked for his contributi­on. During his term we reached the championsh­ip final for the first time in 25 years, won the intermedia­te league and reached the semi-finals of the Cardinal O’Donnell Cup. The Armagh native assistants were Niall Lambert, Pat McCann and Noel Sweeney.

Nomination papers for the annual general meeting are to be forwarded to secretary, Clodagh Culligan, before this Friday, November 22. The agm takes place on the following Tuesday, commencing at 7.30pm, and all members are urged to attend and also consider filling a number of positions that are due to become vacant.

Our agm took place last night (Monday). Thanks to our committee of 2018 and welcome to the new committee members for 2019.

John Mitchel’s are hosting a show by the online celebrity ‘Rory’s Stories’ in the Nuremore Hotel, Carrickmac­ross on Saturday December 8th at 9pm.

Rory has more than half a million followers online and will also be signing copies of his new book. KILKERLEY EMMETS

THE girls minor team won in the championsh­ip on Sunday last at home to Newtown Blues.

Our Annual General Meeting will be held this Friday, November 23, at 8.00pm in the Community Centre. Only those who have paid their membership fee for 2018, can nominate, propose or second, vote or run for a position at the AGM.

LANNLEIRE

LANNLEIRE will hold their A.G.M. in the Lannleire Pavilion on Friday next, 23rd November. A big support would be welcome and the meeting gets underway at 7.30pm. Light refreshmen­ts will be served at the end of proceeding­s.

OUR juvenile under 10s ‘Fundamenta­l Handball’ skills tournament final took place last Friday at coke hall. There was plenty of fun and excitement as all juveniles performed and demonstrat­ed their skills tasks brilliantl­y on the night. We would like to congratula­te all the juvenile winners as follows: N Farrelly, L Matthew’s, B Harrison, M Kral, O Brown, J Brady, J Huff, J Brady, S Walsh, K Everitt, U Brown, L Feeley, T Brady, G Feeley, C Mullan, L O, Rourk, R Feeley, D Maples, R Matthew’s. The club would like to thank all our coaches for the marvellous tasks skills event programme set on the night well done everyone.

We would also like to congratula­te young clubman Keenan Harrison on his fantastic win in the Louth county Wall Ball under 15 trials last week. We wish him all the best of luck in the Leinster Wall ball championsh­ips in Ballacolla on Saturday 1st December.

The lucky winner of our €50 club lottery bonus ball draw last week was Mary Smith.

Club membership is now due for the upcoming handball season adult fees €40, juvenile fees €10 Membership forms are available at Coke hall reception.

The Leinster 40x20 championsh­ips begin in December club players wishing to enter the championsh­ips should give their names and their grades to our club secretary asap. Closing date for entries is Thursday 22nd November.

Our juvenile coaching for boys and girls continues every Friday night.

THERE was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne’s Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 14th November. The winning numbers were 11, 14, 24 & 28.
