Boyne athletes star at first Louth indoor

THE first ever Louth Indoor Challenge took place at Gormansion on Sunday last. And on a day of many fine performances for Boyne, a number of fine doubles by Robert Maher at 800 and 3000 metres; Sara Jane Bird at 60 and 200 metres; Rachel Pentony at 60 and 200 metres; Sean walsh at 60 and 200 metres.

Other winners on the day were Johnny McCabe, Eric Clinton, Derek Callan, Sara Jane Reilly and Catherine Tiernan. At the end of the day the real winner was athletics in Louth with all races keenly contested but also in true sportsmanship. Here’s hoping that this is the first of many such days.
