ISPCC RECRUITMEN­T

The Drogheda Branch of the ISPCC is recruiting for their Childline service and their next training course is due to start in January. To Book a place on one of our informatio­n sessions (Monday 26th November 12-2pm, Tuesday 27th November 6.30-8.30pm or Wednesday 28th November 6.30-8.30pm) in Distillery House, Dyer Street, Drogheda, Co Louth please contact Carol on Carol. FREE CLASSES

Digital Classes are still taking place in the Dunleer Library on the 20th, 21st and 27th of November. Class times start from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. To reserve a place please call 041 685 9016.

Each person attending these classes will receive 10 hours free classroom training. Class duration will be 2 hours per class. Class size is 10 people. An iPad will be provided for use during each class or if you prefer you can bring your own device i.e smartphone, tablet or laptop.

Lann Léire C.P.G. lotto results for Wednesday 14th November 2018. Numbers drawn were (3) (11) (14) (21). No jackpot winner. Next draw jackpot: €2,400. The weekly winners of €50 were: Niall McCullough and Carmel Kennedy. The club thanks you for your continued support.

ST. KEVINS AGM

The St. Kevin’s Community Centres Annual General Meetin takes place Wednesday, November 21st at 8.30pm.

REMEMBRANC­E MASSES

The Remembranc­e Mass for those who died during the year November 2017 to November of this year will be held on November 24th at 7 30 p.m.

TY TRADE FAIR

The Annual Transition Year Trade Fair will take place on Thursday, November 29th from 6.30 to 8 pm in Scoil Ui Mhuiri.

DUNLEER GOLF SOCIETY

The Dunleer Golf Society held their AGM at The Grove on Friday, November 9th 2018. The meeting was opened by Jeanne Connolly, the retiring Captain, and a minutes silence was observed for past members, family and friends. The new Captain, Wayne Brady, took the Chair for the election of Officers. All the Officers were re-elected as follows:

Gary Broughton President/ Secretary, Martin Sheridan Treasurer, Jim Sweeney Assistant Secretary, Jeanne Connolly Assistant Treasurer, Finbarr Tobin “Chief Texter” and Denis Palin Public Relations Officer.

Outings for 2019 were high lighted as Powerscour­t, Killeen Castle, Macreddin (away outing), Seapoint and Dundalk etc. The Committee thanked all Sponsors for their much-appreciate­d support. A note for the Diary Saturday 1st December “Turkey Shoot” at Ardee GC.

BOWLS

Philipstow­n Bowls start up again every Wednesday at 8 pm in the community hall, Everyone welcome beginner or pro, kettle always on.

IRISH DANCING CLASSES

Irish Dancing Classes take place in St. Brigid’s Hall, Dunleer every Friday at 5.00 p.m. These classes are suitable for children aged 4 and upwards. Contact Lolo Robinson on 087-2491185 or call to the hall any Friday.

SOUND THERAPY
