Congratulations and best wishes are sent to Kevin Geraghty who recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Kevin enjoyed a great night away in the Slieve Russell hotel with family and celebrated this very special occasion with his twin sister Betty Tallon from Slane. The birthday pair asked for donations to be made to the Shoe Box appeal instead of presents and they had a wonderful collection. Wishing this gentleman and lady the very best on this momentous occasion.

It was with sadness that the village learned of the sudden closure of our local supermarket last week. Wishing the staff and the previous owners the very best of luck in the future. Hopefully we will see the doors opened again very soon.

CHILDLINE VOLUNTEERS WANTED

The Drogheda Branch of the ISPCC is recruiting for our Childline service and our next training course is due to start in January. We are currently recruiting volunteers for Monday to Thursday. The first step in becoming a volunteer is to attend an information evening/day.
