Bell seeks North Road car spaces

-

COUNCILLOR Paul Bell has called on Louth County Council to construct car parking spaces on the North Road for motorists using bus services to get to work in Dublin and Dundalk and put an end to parking on areas designated for pedestrians (below).

“There has been for some time a serious need for proper car parking spaces for motorists using using bus services transiting through the North Road on route to Dundalk and Dublin. Many motorists are parking on the tarmac area on GAA grounds side of the road which is a pedestrian zone. I believe there is scope for this area to be converted into a proper car parking area and at the same time protect pedestrians. The cost of this project would be minimal and would make the area better organised for parking and road safety” Bell concluded.
