COMMUNITY ALERT

A car was stolen and an attempt made on a number of others in the Ballymacan/Mullaghroy area of the District last weekend. There was a lot of Garda activity around the area in or around this time also. It’s time to make sure that Security Lighting is working correctly. Always be as alert as you can be, particularly during the hours of darkness, when criminal elements are at their busiest. Please keep an eye out for strange vehicles in the area, noting registration numbers if possible. Its no harm to be nosy, it could save you or your neighbours. Please make Community Alert a priority in the months ahead and beyond. also keep an eye out for dogs roaming around that are not under the control of their owner or person responsible for them. Dogs should not be allowed to roam freely. If you are a dog owner, please keep it under control. If you are not in a position to do so, don’t have a dog!
