Labour’s Michelle ratified for elections

-

Labour has formally selected Termonfeckin resident Michelle Hall for the four-seat Drogheda Rural electoral area in next May’s local election.

The selection convention was chaired by Senator Ivana Bacik.

Married with three children, Michelle is a Special Needs Assistant in Aston Village Educate Together school. She is a strong advocate for better public services, improved transport links between the local villages and Drogheda and sustainable planning.

She said, “I have hit the ground running with my campaign and my team and I have been calling to homes in the Termonfeckin and Clogherhead area over the last few weeks drumming up support for my campaign to improve the frequency and the times of the bus services between the villages and Drogheda.

“I have already lined up a meeting with the National Transport Authority to persuade them to undertake a review of the route.

“I understand the needs and aspirations of young families and I want to be a fresh and clear voice for them on Louth County Council next May. I am looking forward to calling to homes in Tullyallen, Monasterboice and other parts of the electoral area in the coming months.”

Welcoming Michelle’s selection, Senator Ged Nash said;

“Michelle has already shown what a great representative she will be for the area. Politics locally and nationally needs more women of Michelle’s calibre.

“She is already getting things done for her community. Michelle has an incredible work ethic and I will be working closely with her to make sure that she joins Cllrs. Paul Bell and Pio Smith on Louth County Council.”
