Reynolds in Hall of Fame

FORMER Meath great Pat Reynolds was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Royal County awards night in Trim last Friday.

Reynolds played for the county during the 1960s and 70s, winning an All-Ireland SFC medal in 1967, and was part of the ground-breaking trip to Australia in 1968.

Reynolds won an All-Star award in 1971 and was at centre back when Meath shocked then All-Ireland champions Dublin to win the NFL crown in 1975. He became a Meath selector with Sean Boylan during the glory days of the 1980s.

On the club front Reynolds was part of the Walterstow­n team who won the senior football title for the first time in 1978.
