Operation Motivation starts in Duleek

Operation Motivation in conjunctio­n with Operation Transforma­tion will kick off in Duleek on Saturday January 12th at 10am with a walk around the Village (4/5km) and then a mid-week walk on Wednesday night at 7pm.

These walks will continue for a duration of 8 Weeks which helps greatly with stress/ health and well being in general.

All are welcome to take part and the only thing needed for this activity is reflective clothing and appropriat­e footwear.

All walks will start at the Village Green in the heart of Duleek and it promises to be a great community event too.

THE Duleek and District AC 5k road race takes place on Sunday February 24 at 1pm.

Rape Crisis North East is offering you the opportunit­y to attend a Helpline Training Programme which will commence on Wednesday 6th February 2019 and finish on Friday 14th March 2019. The training is free and in return, they will ask you to commit to four hours of your time per week to provide telephone counsellin­g support to survivors of rape and sexual violence.

Venue: Cherrywood Counsellin­g Centre, Great Northern Distillery Offices, Carrick Road, Dundalk. 12 Day Workshops over 6 Weeks ( Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 4.00pm).

RCNE Helpline Service is a “lifeline” for many victims of rape and sexual abuse who need to talk to someone who cares. All telephone volunteers are trained to listen, support and offer informatio­n and counsellin­g support to callers who use the line.
