School starts 50th year

THE Special Olympics Club played host to the 42nd Annual Christmas Competitio­ns of the Drogheda School of Karate over two evenings, with 25 events held in the Kata and Kumite categories under WKF rules.

Rosemary Nulty presented the prizes and also congratula­ted the children’s Christmas colouring competitio­n winners.

Drogheda School of Karate reopens after the Christmas break next Tuesday (8th) at 7pm for the start of their 50th year.

Results

Beginner category: 1st Donacha Murphy 28pts, J/2nd Oskar Zawud & Tomeu Klegbuk 26pts, 4th Christian Matthews 25pts.
