Callan seeks to close local crime hot spots

SPEAKING this week, Cllr Kevin Callan said that the sites around Drogheda where ongoing illegal activity is being carried out need to be shut down where possible.

‘ The time has come for locations of crime to be systematically shut down, including routes and short cuts between estates where people who break the law abuse the access they have to evade Garda interference.

‘In the coming weeks I’m asking people to come forward and help us identify these crime hot spots and if possible we can work to make them less attractive to criminals.’
