Frank and Walters in Oriel

-

The Frank and Walters are out on the road for a series of intimate acoustic gigs in 2019 and are performing in the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol on Saturday 30th March 2019.

The Frank and Walters originally became world famous on the ‘90s indie scene and have produced seven studio albums. Recently the band captured a whole new audience when their ‘90’s hit single ‘ After All’ featured on the cult comedy show ‘ The Young Offenders’ (the infamous ‘Billy Murphy’ bus hijack scene). Following a 21 year hiatus Féile returned to Tipperary in September for two sold out shows. Acts such as The Stunning, The 4 Of Us and of course The Frank and Walters were joined for very special performances by the RTE Concert Orchestra which resulted in Féile Classical - The Live Album which went to Number 2 in the Irish Compilation Charts.

During the acoustic show in the Oriel Centre, Paul of The Frank and Walters will share some of the stories behind the songs and anecdotes from the hippy diddly crazy world of life in one of Ireland’s most enduring bands including recalling stories of Radiohead and Suede supporting The Frank and Walters on early tours. Tickets are €25 and are available from the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol 042 9328887 and www.orielcentre.ie.
