Kentstown side move clear at top

MAGUIRES took full ad­van­tage of other teams’ in­ac­tiv­ity last Fri­day to move clear at the top of Di­vi­sion 1 in the Fosters Duleek & Dis­trict Dart League.

The Kentstown out­fit, who re­main un­beaten this sea­son, were big win­ners over strug­gling Pheas­ant Bar in the only game played in that sec­tion of the league.

Foxs and Black & White Thatch are now joint lead­ers of Di­vi­sion 2 af­ter they both won, with the lat­ter edg­ing out fel­low chal­lengers Val­ley Inn away from home.

In Di­vi­sion 3 it’s Rail­way Bar set­ting the pace and they’re now a point clear of Mariner B who were held to a draw by third-placed Maguires B.

This Fri­day the ac­tion re­sumes in the Premier Di­vi­sion where run­away lead­ers Grey­hound will be ex­pected to pick up full points away to joint bot­tom Sally Inn. The sec­ond and third-placed teams, Mariner and Car­ranstown, also face games against teams in the lower reaches of the ta­ble.
