Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Mrs Nuala Early, late of Drogheda, who recently passed away. Nula was a formidable lady and was well known across the north-east district and indeed far beyond for her role on social issues. Her grandmother, Kate Grogan, nee Keegan, had originally come from the Stedalt and Tullog area of Stamullen and where there are members of this family laid to rest in the village graveyard. Nula`s father was Thomas Grogan, who had played an instrumental role in the Irish War of Independence and later on as a leading member Of the old Irish Republican Army during the 1930`s and 40`s.
