Super sub Meade seals the deal for Seneschals­town

THE entertainm­ent on offer wasn’t of the highest quality as 14-man Seneschals­town picked up their second win of the Division 2 campaign at Fr Tully Park.

The hosts were reduced to 14 in the opening half, but Trim were unable to take advantage and found scoring difficult throughout.

Bryan Clarke struck for the game’s only goal on four minutes after he had earlier opened his side’s account. Seneschals­town were never headed at any stage despite Trim enjoying a good spell prior to the sending-off, during which they

registered three points.

At half-time Seneschals­town enjoyed a 1-2 to 0-4 lead.

Clarke again opened the scoring at the start of the second half, with Brian Dowling replying at the other end.

The sides again exchanged scores, with Dylan Keating on target for the home side and Dowling accounting for the Trim score on 36 minutes.

The town side failed to add to the tally after that and Seneschals­town fared only marginally better, with two pointed frees from substitute James Meade sealing the victory.
