TIDY TOWNS.

Julianstown Tidy Towns Committee have announced that they intend to totally re-design the flower beds on the hill going up through the village towards Whitecross over the spring and summer months. According to a Committee Spokesperson, this will take a considerable amount of financial assistance and they are hopeful that much of this money can be raised locally through donations. The aim and objective of this project is to add an array of wonderful colour to the village and that a mixture of flowers will also attract bees, butterflies and other little creature and insects. Anyone who wishes to help out with this project in any way is being asked to contact Jackie at 087-6579884.

GAYBO HOWARD.

As the Stamullen Road Club prepare for the opening of the Irish 2019 cycling season beginning next month, it is hard to believe that it is one year since the sad and tragic passing of Gabriel Howard.

Gaybo, as he was fondly known, was a real pillar of the local community, not only in the cycling world but in every aspect of life across the parish of Stamullen and way beyond.

A man who did so much for so many, accompanied always by his loving wife Kay, when something needed to be done they were both at the forefront offering their own and the club`s help.

It was a sad and tragic day on the evening of February 9th 2018 when the news began to circulate of Gaybo`s demise and one year on he is still very sadly missed by many many people.
