The Tullyallen Access the Glen Committee are delighted to announce that the official opening of the Glen Walkway will take place on Saturday 30th March 2019 at 2 pm at King William’s Glen. We are absolutely thrilled that Ms Éanna ní Lámhna has agreed to officiate at this long awaited event. This is a huge honour for all involved and for Tullyallen and the surrounding areas. Ms Ní Lámhna is one of Ireland’s best known public figures in the area of nature and the environment. She is a renowned author, biologist, educator and is also a radio (Mooney goes wild) and TV presenter. It is an added bonus that she also hails from the wee county. Further updates will follow on this event and the Committee looks forward to welcoming all at what promises to be a wonderful day -a fitting finale for this wonderful community project.
OPERATION TRANSFORMATION WALKS
The Glen Emmets would like encourage all their members & everyone in the community to get up and get walking. In conjunction with RTÉ One’s Operation Transformation, they are aiming to get everyone to enjoy community walks in our own local GAA club. This will take place every Saturday morning at 10am till Feb 23rd, why not come out and walk. The Glen Emmets walking track is just over 500m long.....walk it 10 times....and you’ve done 5k. Whether there is 5 people or 50 - just arrive and walk.

St. Oliver’s Pastoral Area Resource Team will meet on Thursday 14th of February at 7.30pm in Number 9 Fair Street Drogheda. The Blessing of the Sick will take place in our Church on Sunday the 10th of February at the 11am Mass. All are welcome to this special celebration.

Results for the Glen Emmets Lotto held 5th February 2019. The Grand Prize Draw was for €4,500 and there was no winner. The numbers drawn were4, 12, 16 & 24. SLIMMING WORLD TIMES
Tullyallen Slimming World classes are on every Thursday. The first class is 5pm and the second is 7pm. Amanda will be there giving plenty of inspiration, motivation and encouragement to everyone who comes along.
MEN’S SHED
Tullyallen Men’s Shed need you. They are hoping to build a new facility in the village for the Men’s Shed. This new facility will include a workshop for mechanics, metal work, wood work etc, a computer room and also a huge multipurpose space for bowls, arts and crafts, games etc. This is a hugely important new facility for the men and future men of this village. They are in the process of securing funding, but need to have a % savings. Can you help? Any donations, however small would be GRATEFULLY received. Please contact any member of the Men’s Shed if you can be of assistance to them.
Tullyallen Men’s Shed meets up every Tuesday and Friday mornings 10 am till 1 pm why not call into them. They are currently in the Glen Emmets GFC Clubhouse. They have Bowls, Pool, Darts, Rings, Cards so why not call in for a chat and a cuppa. Everyone has something to offer in the Shed. All new members will be most welcome. TULLYALLEN PARENT & TODDLER GROUP
The Tullyallen Parent & Toddler group continues to meet every Thursday from 9.30 to 11.30am in the Glen Emmets Clubrooms. This is not just for parents, grandparents and minders can come along with the kids also, it’s a great way for the kids to get together and the grown-ups can catch up with a cuppa and a natter. This costs just €3 per adult and this includes entry into the Glen Emmets Lotto draw.

Readers are informed of the changing challenge facing the missionary and gives them a sense of belonging in the frontier work of the church. Well done to Sean Carolan who entered “All The heart of Who We Are” secondary schools writing competition held in Croke Park recently. Sean wrote a poem as Gaeilge and came in runner up place. A massive congratulations from all in the Glen Emmets
TLT SCHOOL STARS
Well done to all the wonderful acts who performed in School stars at the TLT on 5th February. All of the students did themselves the school proud. Three acts went through to the semi final after the Judges decision on the night and a further five from the audience vote. The Acts that made it through to the Semi Final are as follows: Tullyallen Junior Choir, Tullyallen Senior Choir, Code Three, The Lightening Vibe, Trevor Chibambo Nbaombwa, Elizabeth Mc Mahon, Nikita Stanley & Alexandra Ghelbero. Best of luck to all in the next round.

To celebrate 10 years of Coláiste na hInse, a Gala Reunion Dinner will be held in Halla Spoirt at 7pm on Friday 15th March.
