Man (45) paid back all dole fraud money

A 45-year-old man charged with dole fraud in the amount of €31,000, who since paid back all the money, has had charges relating to the matter struck out.

Keith White, Athcarne, Duleek, previously admitted furnishing incorrect information and a false signature to the Department of Social Welfare on three dates, 13 September, 2013; 18 February, 2014 and 17 February, 2015.

The matter had been adjourned for the defendant to pay €150 to the Peter McVerry Trust, and last week barrister Sarah Jane Judge confirmed that had been done.

Judge Coughlan struck out the charges.
