Highlanes Gallery hosts series of great concerts in coming weeks

HIGHLANES Gallery, a former Franciscan Church, hosts a special music series to coincide with Mary A. Kelly’s exhibition Chair, in Two Chairs, a programme of four, one hour, evening recitals of traditiona­l music by some of the best and most influentia­l artists of their genre.

Join the pride of An Lú, Zoë Conway & John McIntyre, next Wednesday 27th of February for the first of the evening recitals. Following on from Zoë, after his memorable performanc­e alongside the other members of Hothouse Flowers during Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann last year is Liam Ó Maonlai on Wednesday 6th of March. On Wednesday March 27th the superb piping talent and multi-instrument­alist players of the traditiona­l music world, Dave Sheridan and Padraig McGovern, return again to perform another stunning night. Finally, on Wednesday April 10th, Co.Clare’s finest virtuso duo Tara Breen and Padraig Rynne bring another unforgetta­ble night of fiddle mastery and exemplary concertina playing.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite at €15 per night, with a special All Four Evenings ticket still available for purchase at €40. Doors open at 7pm with all four recitals starting at 7.30pm.
