Warning signs needed on road close to EMU entrance

-

WARNING signs in the vicinity of East Meath United on the Ministown Road are required, a local councllor has urged.

Cllr Eimear Ferguson asked council officials for the additions to help safety in the area.

‘ The signs at St Colmcilles on the Piltown Road are great,’ she stated, asking that a similar project be done at the soccer ground.

‘It’s a very busy area and some people are using it to get to the station and don’t know the road. I think the signs would be good,’ she stated.

She referenced the exit/entrance and felt it could do with some safety measures

However, engineer Christy Clarke said they can look at it, but there were no real issue with the area the pitch was in and any works ‘would be low in priorities’ as a result.
