Brandon Sullivan is good at scoring ‘worldies’

-

WHOEVER came up with the Drogheda Winter League soccer series - well done.

The eight team tournament is aimed at getting teams in the right frame of mind for the forthcoming North East League and it’s been running for the past few months, many of the games at the well-appointed DIFE facility.

Chord Celtic and Albion Rovers seem to be the leaders of the pack so far.

I spotted the Chord (I see they spell it with the ‘ h’) played Lourdes Celtic last weekand came away with a 3-0 win.

Apparently Brandon Sullivan is proving a real star and the comment was, he ‘continued his record of scoring worldies as he lifted a free kick in to the top corner giving the keeper no chance.’

The former Newfoundwell man is settling in well it seems.

It should be quite a season for the Chord.

?? ?? I have to give the Port Company great credit for this fine job down by the quays. It was finished in recent months and is now a fine spot to stand and watch the world go by by the banks of the river.
