ANNAGHMINNON ROVERS CUCHULAINN GAELS 2-9 0-12

AIDAN Lee Martin bagged a first half brace as Annaghminnon came out on top at home to Cuchulainn Gaels in Group A on Sunday morning.

The hosts were seven points to the good at the break but had to withstand a second half revival before coming out on top.

There wasn’t much between the teams throughout this game but it was Lee Martin’s eye for goal that proved decisive as his side went in at the break leading by 2-4 to 0-3.

The Omeath men raised their game in the second period and gradually chipped away at the lead but in the end time ran out before they could complete the comeback.
