Fr Hubert Hurley OP ordained

Amongst those ordained to the priesthood by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. McQuaid, Archbishop of Dublin, at Holy Cross College. Clonllffe, on Saturday last, was Drogheda-born Rev. Father Hubert (Charles Hurley). O.P.. Mount Argus, Dublin.

The young priest, who is the eldest son of Mrs. Hurley. 27 Parnell Road, Harold’s Cross, Dublin, and the late Mr. Charles Hurley, resided in Drogheda In his early childhood where his father was an esteemed member of the R.I.C.

Father Hubert is brother of Rev. E. Hurley. C.S.Sp., who is at present studying Theology in the Holy Ghost Missionary College, Kimmage. Dublin. He is very well known in Balbriggan. Skerries and in Lusk, where he spent many of his vacations. He ls a nephew of Mr. Thomas Hurley, George’s Street, Drogheda.

A reception was given by Father Hubert’s mother in the Clarence Hotel later in the day when upwards of 60 guests were present.
