CLOSURE OF POST OFFICE?

There is a very strong possibility that Termonfeckin Post Office will close in the next two to two and a half years. A recent reorganisation structural plan agreed between An Post and the Post Masters Union is now leading to concerns over how Post Offices can continue to operate. Other factors are lack of general use of Post Offices, that more business can be conducted online and Government legislation regarding tax rates. To maintain our Post Office, it need to be used more in order to remain viable. This is a most invaluable service in our community and its closure would be devastating.
