Sadness at the death of Mary Street man, Christophe­r Hegarty

We regret to announce the death of Mr. Christophe­r Hegarty, Mary Street, Drogheda, which took place at his residence on Thursday, February 4th, after a long and painful illness. R.I.P.

The remains’ were removed to St. Mary’s Church, James Street, from which the funeral took place on Saturday, 6th to Calvary Cemetery. The funeral cortege was large and representa­tive and included many members of the Drogheda

Commercial Reading Rooms (of which the deceased was for many years a popular member), also the employees of the C.B and D. Breweries and Preston Bros, and Co. The officiatin­g clergymen were—Very Rev J. Nulty, P.P., V.F., St Mary’s, and Rev. J. Donegan, C.C., St. Mary’s. The chief mourners were—Mr. T. and Master P. Hegarty (sons), Mr. M. J. Hegarty (brother), Mr. M. J. Hegarty (nephew). Relatives—J. Kehoe, M. J. Callagher, Mrs. M. Hegarty, Mrs. L. Henderson. Mrs. A. O. Maher.
