Rose Taylor from the Narroway

The death occurred suddenly at Oar Lady of Lour4es Hospital, on Thursday last, of Miss Rose Taylor, Narroway Road, Bettystown.

The deceased, a very charitable and religious person, who was held in high esteem by all in the district, was a member of the Sacred Heart Sodality, Laytown. She was aunt of Benny Hardy, a former Irish Boys’ Table Tennis Champion, and Sean Taylor, golfing correspond­ent of the “Drogheda Independen­t.”

The remains were removed to Mornington Cemetery on Friday and the funeral, which was largely attended, took place after Solemn Requiem Mass on Saturday. Rev. Fr. O’Connor, assisted by Rev. Fr. Bird, officiated at the graveside. Chief mourners were Mrs. Hardy (sister). Joseph. Richard and John Hardy and Sean Taylor (nephews), Misses Rose and Geraldine Hardy (nieces) and Patk. Hardy (brotherin-law). R.I.P.
