CORONAVIRUS

For some there is a return to the old normal although there is still the need to maintain social distancing. With Phase 1 of the Government Roadmap in place, hopefully things will continue to improve although it will still take a while. There are concerns that some people, particularly younger people think it is now a free for all. Social distancing remains critical to any reduction in the number of Covid 19 cases. Please continue to stay safe.

TERMONFECKIN ICA.

The last meeting was in March. The members had just completed an eight week course in “Quilling” which was much enjoyed by all. They were looking forward to many events, like a “One Day Course in An-Grianan”, “Garden Party”, “Painting Classes” etc, but needless to say all that came to an end due to Covid 19. We all miss our craft classes and monthly meeting for our chats, get togethers and laughs. A lot of members in the county have helped out with making masks, gowns and other PPE gear. They deserve great credit (“Deeds Not Words” is the ICA Motto). Some of our own members made blankets for St. Mary’s Hospital. Hopefully this crisis will pass sooner than later and we will reunite again. Meanwhile the main thing is to keep safe and look forward to better times ahead.
