THOUGHT FOR THE DAY.
For every minute you are angry, you lose sixty seconds of happiness.
VIRUS PANDEMIC.
With the continuation of “Isolation” it is a good time to consider what we have and what we haven’t. For the most, we still have our health and as long as we do the right thing, keep our distances and not mingle, we should be as safe as it is possible to be. I know it can get very lonely and you feel as if the rooms are getting smaller, but it is only a feeling and when you compare the size of your rooms to the size of an ICU ward you feel glad you’re this side of the virus. Please keep safe.
CLOGHERHEAD LOCKDOWN.
Sincere thanks are extended to you and your family who have abided by the Government suggestions of keeping a 2-metre distance from other people except your family members who live in house with you. I think we have been very lucky (if I can use that word) with the overall results of Covid 19. We have had no deaths in our area, thank God, and I firmly believe it is because we are following the suggestions made by the Government for OUR safety. I mean, what harm is it to wash your hands more often than usual and spray on a bit of sanitiser. I do wish that those who are out daily and nightly jogging, running and walking WOULD keep their 2m distance from other people and not go so close to people when passing them on the footpath. It has been said by different to these keep fit people but they just give a not very nice reply. Can any body suggest how this can change? Between these people and the DOG POO on footpaths it is not safe to go out. But don’t let these people keep you in your home. Good luck.
HELP FROM THE DREADNOTS.
The Dreadnots Players and committee are there to help you with your shopping and any other things you may need. Simply phone Ann on 087 7757007 and she will take it from there. In these times of keeping your distances it is very important to have the likes of these people out there to give a little help where needed. Help with shopping etc. as well as members of the Dreadnots Group staff from Gareth’s Family Butchers and Corrs Pharmacy are also there to give you assistance.
LIFEBOAT STILL ON DUTY.
Abiding by government advice, the Lifeboat Station is out of bounds to everyone. But. Should the Lifeboat be needed for an emergency it will be launched in the usual way. There is no training for crew members at present but they already know the drill of by heart. So, that is one thing we can be sure off.
