Laytown Post Office wish all their customers good health at this time. We would like to inform you of our hours during Covid-19 which are as follows:

Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/ 09:00 - 16:00

Friday: 08:00 - 16:30; Saturday: 09:00 - 12:00; Sunday: Closed

Please note that the office will be closed between 13:00 - 13:30 to facilitate lunch and cleaning.

DRAFT SUBMISSION­S

The timeline for the receipt of submission­s on the Draft Laytown and Bettystown Public Realm Plan 2020 has been extended until 4.00pm this Friday, May 29th 2020.

MR. TOM KERBEY

The death has occurred of Tom Kerbey in Chessingto­n, Surrey on Thursday last 21st May. A member of the well-known and respected Kerbey family from Minnistown, Laytown. Loving husband to Jan. Predecease­d by his parents Peggie and Bob and sister Pat, he will be sadly missed by his brothers Tony, Paul and Robert, sisters Geraldine, Brenda, Fiona, Emer and Ruth, sisters-in-law, brothers-inlaw, nieces, nephews and good friends. May Tom Kerbey rest in Peace.

EAST MEATH MEALS ON WHEELS

Hot Meals can be delivered to your home between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on Monday,

Wednesday and Friday of each week; excluding bank holidays in the areas of Laytown, Bettystown, Mornington, Donacarney and Colpe. The charge is €4 per person per meal; to avail of this service or know of anyone who might benefit from this service, please contact us on 0857570810.

CEMETERY DEVOTIONS

As restrictio­ns on large public gatherings are likely to be in place for some months to come, the annual Reilig Mhuire Mass & Blessings of graves planned for 21st June will not take place.

ALONE HELPLINE

ALONE has launched a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulti­es relating to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronaviru­s). Profession­al staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassuranc­e where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am - 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.
