CORONAVIRUS.

With Phase 2 of the Government Roadmap towards a return to normal life in place, we still need to maintain social distancing as the number of new cases still fluctuate daily. Concerns are still being expressed that younger people are not taking it seriously at all and some adults too. Gardai were present in some places over the bank holiday weekend with action having to be taken to disperse some gatherings. Yes it will be nice to get back to what we consider normal living but we cannot afford to jeopardise everything at this stage. Please continue to abide by the social distancing rule and stay safe.

WEEKLY CHURCH CEREMONIES.

Mass is being broadcast from the Pastoral Area webcam via the Termonfechin Parish website, mcnmedia.tv and churchmedia. tv For those watching TV, Mass can be viewed on the churchmedia.tv channel. If anyone experiences problems with connecting or needs any help, please contact the Parish Office. Sunday Mass is at 11am. Weekday Mass is at 9.30am: Monday to Friday. On each Monday evening, the Eucharistic Holy Hour from 7pm to 8pm continues via the webcam.

All Weddings and Baptisms remain suspended until further notice. In the case of emergency, Baptisms may be celebrated, please contact Fr. Paul Byrne P.P. Social distancing markers have been introduced in both Parish Churches and signage in preparation for an eventual return to normal Church attendance. Fr. Paddy Rushe, P.P. Monasterboice is celebrating the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings at 6.30pm and Night Prayers on Sundays at 10pm via the Monasterboice Parish facebook page.

LITTER.

It is still a serious problem with all kinds of items being dumped. The majority of this appears to come from passing motorists. Dispose of it properly, bin it, take it home. Country roads are not dumping grounds, neither is our village. There are some members of the community doing their bit to keep things clean around the village and they deserve our thanks and praise.
