ONE-DAY SHOPPING MARATHON PLAN
HERE in Drogheda, it’s hoped to get the jump on Black Friday this year by holding a pre- Christmas, townwide, shop-local event that is being delivered by Drogheda Chamber of Commerce.
The aim of the campaign is to promote and market a one-day event pre-Black Friday to focus on localised spending, and it’s hoped traders of all sizes will get on board to encourage people to spend in the town.
The date of the planned activity will be Friday November 13th, to coincide with switching on the Christmas lights.
Businesses are being asked to run a small promotional offer in your business on the day of the event, to encourage businesses to stay open later in the evening as a special one-night event (this will help assist in spreading customers out over the day in a safe manner, time proposed 7PM-11PM and to promote, market and share event details on your individual business pages to help raise awareness.
