€27,000 boost for the Gary Kelly Centre from LEADER

-

LOUTH Local Community Development Committee (LAG) recently awarded grant aid of €27,069.00 under the Rural Development Programme 20142020 to the Gary Kelly Centre in Drogheda.

The funding was awarded under the LEADER Social Inclusion theme and will be used to upgrade an existing sewerage and water waste system. Ann Tracey, Manager of the centre said, “As the demand on the Centre’s services continues to grow it was placing an increasing demand on an old antiquated system. We are delighted to accept this grant aid as it will allow us to develop a new upgraded system which will preserve the dignity and privacy of people using the centre.”

LEADER funding is available for projects in Co. Louth across various themes.
