The magic touch of Sam Rice might get Ireland home!
IT’S great to see a local man rising to the top in his career and when it comes to the top - there’s hardly much room left up there for Sam Rice.
The Termonfeckin man is Athletic Therapist for the Irish soccer team.
He’s a very accomplished professional and his relationship with Stephen Kenny goes back a long way - when Dundalk were winning everything, Sam was keeping the players fit and well.
Sam was with Dundalk FC between 2015 and 2019 as well as being a part of the Ireland U21 set up last year.
Rice began his journey in Athletics Therapy in 2010 when he began his B.Sc on the subject, spending time at Wolverhampton Wanderers in England, then Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk before leaving for Australia where he opened a clinic in Perth.
The lure of Ireland and teaming up with Stephen Kenny again then came and hopefully, he can get the lads flying for the big qualifier coming up.
