Mr. Pa­trick McGuin­ness of 30 Trin­ity Gar­dens, Drogheda, who died in Sir Pa­trick’s Dun’s Hos­pi­tal, Dublin, re­cently, af­ter a brief ill­ness, was an em­ployee of Messrs. McCann and Hills, corn milling firm for more than 40 years. De­ceased, who was a well-known Drogheda man, was the fa­ther of Mr. Tommy McGuin­ness who is known to a wide cir­cle of lo­cal peo­ple through his as­so­ci­a­tions with the Drogheda Fran­cis­can Church.

The funeral to St. Peter’s new ceme­tery was at­tended by a rep­re­sen­ta­tive gath­er­ing, Rev. T. P. Con­lon of­fi­ci­at­ing, as­sisted by Rev. Fr. Chryso­tom, O.F.M., Rev. Fr. Michael, O.F.M., Rev. Fr. Cle­ment, O.F.M., and Rev. Brother Aiden, O.FM

The chief mourn­ers were: Mrs. Brid­get McGuin­ness (wi­dow); M/S. Thomas and Frank McGuin­ness (sons); Mrs. An­nie Kelly, Misses Bri­die, Philom­ena, Kath­leen, and Jen­nie McGuin­ness (daugh­ters); Mr. M. Kelly (son-in-law)
