Sincere sympathy to Peter and the Halpenny family on the recent passing of Maeve Halpenny (née Casey), Mooremount, Dunleer. Maeve, beloved wife of Peter and loving mother of Paul, Catherine and Margaret. Predeceased by her brothers Francis and Jim and sister Nora. Sadly missed by her husband, son, daughters, grandchildren Luke, Conor, Aaron, Cathal and Darragh, daughter-in-law Irene, son-in-law Paul, brothers Gerard, Tommy, Terry and Brian, aunt Eileen, brother-in-law Liam, sisters-in-law, Mary, Juie, Carol, Grainne and Patricia, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

ST. BRIGID’S CHURCH - A SHORT HISTORY
A history of Dunleer parish and Saint Brigid’s Church especially has been compiled by Fr. Michael Murtagh and printed. It is on prelaunch price of €10 and is available in Saint Brigid’s Church, in the library or on the porch at the parochial house. The price can be paid by Paypal on the parish website and we can post abroad for €20 in all. If you pick up one in the porch, please leave the cost in the honesty box provided. The porch is the one beside the bins at the side of the house. The book is beautifully produced and of excellent value.

RETAINED FIREFIGHTER VACANCIES
Louth County Council are currently looking for potential Retained Firefighters in all their Fire Stations based in Dunleer, Ardee, Carlingford and Drogheda. To join the Louth Fire Service as a Retained Firefighter, applicants must be aged 18 years and over, meet the required health and physical fitness standards, have a good standard of vision and colour perception and preferably have a category B, full, clean driving license. Annual Retainer €7,895–€10,812 per annum. Fire Fees & Drill Rates also apply. Candidates must be living and working within a 5-minute mobilisation/response time to the Fire Station and also must have a reasonable level of fitness. Applications will be processed as vacancies arise in the various fire stations.
MASS TIMES
Saturdays Vigil Mass takes place at 7.30pm in Dunleer, Sundays mass in Dromin at 10.30 Sunday mornings and Dunleer at 11.30am. Saint Kevin’s will still not open yet. Daily Mass is as usual at 10a.m. each day in Dunleer. The churches have been equipped with hand sanitising points at entry and with wipes for cleaning down the pews on entering and/or leaving. There are also stickers indicating the spacing that is required for public safety. Those who choose to attend are asked to follow the HSE guidelines and to practice common courtesy and discretion. Numbers will be restricted so the elderly or the vulnerable are encouraged to attend weekday Mass in place of Sunday for the time being or remain at home until it is safer to return to Mass. CARMEL’S CHAEROBICS
Chaerobics is such a simple exercise concept, anyone can do it irrespective of fitness level – all you need is an instructor and a kitchen chair. Carmel’s Chaerobics will try its best to provide you with the following classes during this time of crisis. Each Monday for 20 minutes they have “Sit and Get Fit’’ video (accessible for seven days), Tuesdays and Thursdays there is Live Chaerobics Classes at 11am.
