Gaels find extra gear
DUNDALK Gaels made it three wins from three in Division 2A when they defeated Kilkerley Emmets on Friday night.
In what was a competitive affair, the Dundalk men did just enough to secure the win that keeps them on of the table.
Kilkerley also went into the game with a 100 per cent record but also on the back of their Intermediate Championship Final defeat and it was perhaps no surprise that they were unable to lift themselves sufficiently.
The first half was an even affair with Tadgh McEnaney and Shane Lennon on target for the home side but the Gaels kept themselves in the game with a goal from Sean McCann as they went in at the break level at 1-5 to 0-8.
It was a similar story in the second half with Kilkerley giving themselves hope with a goal from McEnaney. However, the visitors found an extra gear when required and points from Dylan McKeown, Eanna McArdle, McCann and Luke Murray helped them over the line.
