COVID restrictions to impact on St Peter’s parish life

IN line with level 3 of Living with COVID-19, there are no public Masses or other services celebrated in either St Peter’s or Our Lady of Lourdes Churches from 7 October, except for funerals. All Masses and services will continue, of course, to be streamed live by webcam. Mass Times

Mass times during level 3 are by webcam only, and are as follows: St Peter’s Church. Monday to Friday: 8.30am. Tuesday only, also St Anthony’s Novena, 10.30am. Sunday: 11.00am.

Our Lady of Lourdes Church; Monday to Saturday: 10.00am. Saturday Vigil: 7.30pm. Sunday: 9.30am, and 12 noon.

Webcam

All Masses and Services from both churches can be viewed live by webcam on the parish website, www.saintpetersdrogheda.ie or on www. churchservices.tv. They will also be recorded and available for viewing on the webcam section later in the day.

Opening hours

Church Opening Hours and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament Times. Both churches will remain open for private prayer.

St Peter’s Church

St Peter’s Church opening hours and times of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament are as follows:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9.00am – 4.00pm. Tuesday, 11.00am – 4.00pm. Sunday, 12 noon - 6.00pm.

In St Peter’s, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place in the main body of the Church, and can also be viewed by webcam. Our Lady of Lourdes Church

Our Lady of Lourdes Church opening hours are as follows: Monday to Saturday, 10.30am – 4.00pm. Sunday, 1.00pm - 4.00pm. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the Lourdes Church on Sunday afternoon, 1.00pm - 4.00pm.

Both churches continue to be sanitised daily. People who are vulnerable or unwell, and especially those with any symptoms that might suggest Covid-19 infection, should stay at home. The same applies to those who have been in recent contact with someone who has the virus, in accordance with public health advice. Funerals

Funeral Masses will take place with a maximum attendance of 25 persons. Anniversaries and Month’s Mind Masses Anniversaries and Month’s Mind Masses for both St Peter’s and Our Lady of Lourdes Churches will be read out at all Masses in both churches on the day as arranged. Anniversaries may be telephoned to St Peter’s Church Sacristy, 041 984 5355, Monday – Saturday, 9.00am -1.00pm or Our Lady of Lourdes Church Sacristy, 041 983 1973, Monday – Saturday, before, during or after 10.00am Mass.

No confessions may take place.

Parish envelopes may be dropped into the secure boxes in either church. Donations also may made by credit/ debit card via the parish website, or by standing order. See parish newsletter and website.

Novenas

The Miraculous Medal Novena will be recited as usual on Monday at the Lourdes 10.00am Mass, and the St Anthony’s Novena on Tuesday as usual at the St Peter’s 10.30am Mass. The Novena to St Martin de Porres will be recited at the 8.30am Mass from St Peter’s on Mondays, and the Novena to Our Lady of Fatima on Saturdays at the Lourdes 10.00am Mass. Additional Information
